Silencing the mind

To journal, you have to cut out the noise to allow silence to emerge and out of silence, wisdom and deep reflections emerge.

Questions trigger the answers

Pay attention to the questions you ask because those questions will determine the kinds of answers you will get. Ideally, think of forward-looking or solutions-oriented questions. For example, rather than asking “What is wrong with me”, instead ask “What do I need to do to move forward?”

Ritualize

Create a specific time and place ideally where you will do your journaling because that will become part of your way of being rather than waiting for motivation.

Healing

Asking and getting some answers to troubling questions has a healing effect on your mind, body and spirit.

Prioritize

Make it a priority in your life to examine your life and way of being because this might trigger some breakthroughs that you may have never thought about before.

Ultimately, journaling is a gift to yourself and since you are the most important person in the world, then, you definitely deserve it.
